• Within STREAMS, the operator makes traffic management changes such as lane closures, speed reduction or ramp metering.
• The operator observes the impact of those changes in Aimsun Next.
• Operators can use simulation to practice dealing with a variety of traffic incidents, without having to wait for them to occur in real life.
• Managers can evaluate action plans to minimize incident impacts.
• The solution can also be deployed to plan roadworks and other events where lane restrictions would be needed.
