Usando diagramas de espaço-tempo para calibração

Em sua dica profissional do mês, Dimitris Triantafyllos explica como criar gráficos de contorno de velocidade no Aimsun Next para mostrar a propagação e dispersão do congestionamento em uma rodovia ao longo do tempo e localização. Isso é possível por meio do uso de diagramas espaço-tempo, que mostram as condições de tráfego em um plano espaço-temporal. Esses diagramas são comumente usados para plotar a velocidade média em uma rodovia (plotagem de contorno de velocidade), apresentando o tempo, a localização e a propagação subsequente da congestão causada por gargalos. O texto traz um estudo de caso que mostra como criar um gráfico de contorno de velocidade em Aimsun Next para calibrar e validar um modelo de tráfego, garantindo que a localização e tempo da congestão estejam corretos, bem como a extensão da fila, a velocidade com que se propaga e a velocidade de recuperação. O estudo também apresenta como simular cenários de tráfego típicos e incidentes no software. Para criar o gráfico, é preciso criar um conjunto de detectores e selecionar a saída desejada (contagem, densidade, tempo de cabeça, ocupação ou velocidade), além de representá-la como espaço/tempo.
