TfL to issue Aimsun Model Audit Process (AMAP) guidelines

In 2015, Transport for London (TfL) selected Aimsun as one of its software tools for tactical (i.e. mesoscopic) and microsimulation operational modelling. TfL is currently in the process of drafting Aimsun Model Audit Process (AMAP) procedures, with support from TSS.

TfL’s guidelines are well known and respected and when the AMAP documentation is finalised and approved, it will provide consultants with clear processes to follow. This will ensure that future Aimsun models submitted to TfL are compliant with its standards.
